A Warm Welcome to Balanced Yin Yoga. 😊
Balanced Yin Yoga offers a slower, more mindful approach to movement and rest. Classes are designed to support nervous system regulation, mobility, recovery, and overall wellbeing in a welcoming and non-competitive environment.
Whether you're new to yoga or have an established practice, the intention is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect, and feel at ease.
Before Your First Visit
If it's your first class, arriving 10–15 minutes early is recommended. This allows time to settle in, ask any questions, and prepare for practice without feeling rushed.
If you are pregnant, recovering from an injury, or have any health concerns that may affect your practice, please get in touch before class so appropriate guidance can be offered.
Booking Classes
Advance booking is recommended for all classes and can be completed through the online booking system. A confirmation email will be sent once your booking is complete.
Single-class bookings and class passes are available. Pricing, pass options, and validity periods can be found in the booking system.
Drop-in spaces may be available on the day of class; however, availability cannot be guaranteed. Please note that drop-in attendance is charged at a higher rate than advance online bookings.
Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra classes are held in English.
Chair Yoga for Seniors are held in Finnish.
Sports & Wellness Benefits
EPassi and Edenred mobile payments are accepted.
To pay using an exercise benefit, search for "Balanced Yin Yoga" in your service provider's mobile application and complete the payment there.
After making the payment:

Create a customer account in the booking system if you do not already have one.

A response will be sent as soon as possible, and the corresponding credit will be added to your account for use in the booking system.
What to Bring
For studio classes, all essential yoga equipment is provided unless otherwise stated.
Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement is recommended. You are also welcome to bring a water bottle.
Outdoor Yin Yoga
Yoga mats and props are not provided for outdoor classes.
Please bring:

Any props you enjoy using during practice

A warm jumper or extra layer

Wool socks or other warm clothing for comfort during longer holds and relaxation

Entrance to our Pakila studio is via the side door.
Arriving for Class
Please arrive no later than 5 minutes before the beginning of class to allow practice to start on time for everyone.
Unfortunately, late arrivals cannot be admitted once class has begun. This helps maintain a peaceful environment and avoids disruption to other participants.
Waitlists
If a class is fully booked, joining the waitlist is encouraged. Spaces often become available, and notifications are sent automatically when a place opens up.
Cancellations
Class cancellations must be made through the booking system within the specified cancellation window.
Late cancellations and missed classes may be charged in full or deducted from a class pass. Please refer to the booking system for current cancellation terms.
Workshops & Special Events
Workshops, courses, retreats, and special events may have separate booking and cancellation policies. Please review the details provided for each event before registering.
Creating a Peaceful Space
To help maintain a calm atmosphere, mobile phones should be switched to silent mode before entering the practice space.
Essential oils, incense, candles, palo santo, or other natural scents may occasionally be used during classes. If you have sensitivities or allergies, please get in touch before attending.
